Grains reduce the risk of diabetes

- Brown rice is effective to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, but whole grains (not grinding out the shell) as millet, beans, corn, wheat better, according to HealthDay news page. Experts Harvard University (USA) has tracked 39,765 healthy men and 157,463 women.

Results showed that people eat brown rice two times or more per week down 11% risk of type 2 diabetes, compared with those eating less than once per month. Eating 50g of white rice instead of brown rice in the same day are 16% lower risk. 50g also replace white rice with the same amount of whole grains per day reduced to 36%.
